Tips On Working From Home

Tips On Working From Home

Hey Purlisse~stas,

We just wanted to take this opportunity to remind you all that you are our motivation to work our hardest everyday, and we want to make sure that you are taking care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Purlisse was founded on the fundamentals of self care - mentally, physically and emotionally. Which is why it is essential for you to know that we are here for you during this difficult and uncertain time.

Our team is working from home, but we are all working extra hard to make sure you have everything you need. You can still shop our products on purlisse.com, and you can reach out to us through our Instagram @purlisse, our email support@purlisse.com and all other social channels.

As we are sure that many of you are working from home as well, we wanted to leave you with some tips on how to keep productive while staying home! Sometimes Netflix in bed can be really tempting, but here is what the Purlisse team does to fight that temptation.

Jennifer

I take this as an opportunity to slow down, relax and reflect. I feel thankful that we CAN work from home and that we have the tools, technology and the business that allows us to remain productive during these uncertain times.”

Denise

“I need my music to get me through the day but something about sitting in silence really helps me focus and get through my to do list. Also, I really enjoy walking around the community to get some fresh air!”

Wendy

“While working from home I clear my kitchen table and make it my personal office space for the workday. I steer clear of turning on the TV or anything distracting so that I can fully focus for the day and get through my tasks efficiently. My cat visits me every now and then for some love and attention, she keeps me happy throughout the day and occasionally sits across from me and acts as my co-worker.”

Chanel

“I like to work outside or in front of a big window/natural lighting versus in a dark room. That and some green tea gets me through the day!”

Brittany

“I get up early and have my normal routine. Shower put on comfy clothes and eat breakfast. I also try to move around the house or work from different locations.”

Ashley

“I like to get up early to make sure I have enough time to do my normal morning routine. I actually love to put my everyday makeup on, fix my hair, and change out of my pajamas because I feel like it stops me from being so lazy. I find this really helps me focus, and sets the tone for the rest of the day.”

Catalina

“When I work from home, I find it very helpful to put on something that isn't my pajamas (thought that is tempting, I know!), and sit somewhere that I consider my ~workspace~ (even if it also doubles as my kitchen table). That's kind of like my now-we-will-focus routine, my personal signal to myself that professional-mode has been activated, lol! I feel like the same psychological science is at work in this scenario as when they tell you to dress up for a phone interview, even though no one can see you. It just gives me a sense of personal legitimacy that I might struggle to grasp were I, for example, on an important call wearing my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles PJs”

Kimber

“Somethings that make it easier for me to work from home is by having a good playlist or podcast ready to have playing in the background while I edit. My cat also joins me from time to time, when he wakes up from a nap and demands attention (lol).”

Talya

“I love blasting music, drinking my coffee and taking little breaks to sit on my balcony to reset my mind.”
