It's National Green Juice Day! Here at purlisse we love our green juice and we wanted to share our favorite + quick recipe with you, but first lets check out the benefits of choosing to juice with greens.⬇️

Green juices help give your body a boost of energy, nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and restoration.

When you juice, you are getting all of your calcium, iron, and vitamins is one place along with water💦 that will keep your body hydrated all day long. 

 

What to use:

A variety of leafy greens, fruits and vegetable is key for green juices. Add 70% green and 30% fruit, ideally you want to have more greens so it is best to keep to this method when juicing. Don't add sugar! Instead, add natural sweeteners with fruits such as apples, oranges and pineapple.

🍃Leafy greens: Collard Greens, Kale, Arugula, Spinach, Lettuces, anything green really!
🌿Herbs: Parsley, Cilantro, Mint, Dill,  Ginger, Turmeric + more
🍎Fruits: Apple, Pineapple, Orange, pear, kiwi, cucumber, berries

Use a juicer to press all of the juice out of the greens, fruits and vegetables.
What you will need:
4 bunches of Greens (mix of kale, chard, spinach) ---> This mix comes in a big bag found at Costco
4 stalks of Celery
1 large Cucumber
1 cup of Pineapple
2 apples
1 lime (add the juice of 1 lime)
